Six members of a family sustained burn injuries in a fire originated from gas line in Kattali area in Chattogram on Tuesday.
The injured are — Md Shahjahan Sheikh, 25, Sajeda Begum, 45, Md Shadwin, 17, Mahiya Akter, 10, Dilruba Akter, 18, and Md Jibon, 14, said officials.
They were undergoing treatment at the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital, said Md Jahir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Akbarshah police station.
The fire originated from gas line leakage at Mariam Villa in Kattali area of Akbarshah at about 12:30am, the OC said.
Earlier on August 11, 2021, three of a family were killed while undergoing treatment at hospital and six other received burn injuries in a fire at the same building, the OC added.
