Bangladesh reports 6 more Covid deaths

Covid claimed the lives of six more people and infected 215 others in Bangladesh in 24 hours ending Monday morning.

With the latest statistics, the total death toll hits 27,901 and infections to 15,71,228 since the country had recorded the first Covid infection on March 8, 2020, and death from the viral disease on March 18, 2020.

The daily test positivity rate is 1.28 per cent.

Of the deceased in the past 24 hours, three were male patients and the other three were female patients.

The Directorate General of Health Services came up with the latest statistics on its daily Covid press release.

A total of 16,812 samples have been tested during the reporting period across the country at 834 laboratories while Bangladesh had tested 1,04,90,412 samples as of November 8.

In the past 24 hours, 209 patients recovered from the viral disease totaling the recovery to 15,35,034.

In case of the divisions, Dhaka logged deaths of four people and the rest two Covid patients died in Chattogram division.
