Bangladesh reports 6 more Covid deaths

Covid-19 claimed the lives of six more people and infected 151 others in Bangladesh in 24 hours ending Saturday morning.

With the latest statistics, the total death toll hits 27,918 and infections to 15,72,278 since the country had recorded the first Covid infection on March 8, 2020, and death from the viral disease on March 18, 2020.

The daily test positivity rate is 1.11 per cent.

Of the deceased, four were males and the remaining two were females.

The Directorate General of Health Services came up with the latest statistics on its daily Covid press release.

A total of 13,567 samples have been tested during the reporting period across the country at 836 laboratories while Bangladesh had tested 1,05,76,273 samples as of November 13.

In the past 24 hours, 192 patients recovered from the viral disease totaling the recovery to 15,36,303.

In the case of the divisions, Dhaka logged deaths of three patients Chattogram, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions logged the death of one Covid patient each.
