Bangladesh education minister Dipu Moni on Sunday said that they would hold the next year’s Secondary School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations within June.
‘It will not be possible to take the SSC and HSC exams in February and March in 2022 as the candidates need some time to complete their syllabus,’ she said while visiting the SSC exam centre at Motijheel Government Boys School in Dhaka.
The SSC examinations are usually held in the first week of February and the HSC exams in March.
This year, due to Covid-19 pandemic the exams are taking place in November and December respectively.
The minister also said that they were trying to vaccinate the HSC exam candidates before the exams which are scheduled to start on December 2.
Already 1.5 lakh students, aged between 12 to 17 years, got vaccines, she said and added that they were trying to vaccinate all students across the country.
She also urged the guardians not to gather in front of the exam centres.
