A man was killed in Manikganj, when the rickshaw he was travelling in was hit by a truck.
The incident, which left the rickshaw puller severely injured, was reported early morning on Saturday on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway near the district town, said police.
Thirty-two-year-old Alim Khan died immediately when a truck hit the rickshaw on the highway at the Uchutiya area, said OC Monirul Islam of the local Golra highway police.
The truck fled the scene, he said, quoting witnesses.
The severely injured rickshaw puller was rushed to the state-run hospital in the district town and was later moved to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment, said the police officer.
