Bangladesh reports 7 more Covid deaths

Covid-19 claimed the lives of seven more people and infected 199 others in Bangladesh in 24 hours ending Sunday morning.

With the latest statistics, the total death toll hits 27,953 and infections to 15,74,088 since the country had recorded the first Covid infection on March 8, 2020, and death from the viral disease on March 18, 2020.

The daily test positivity rate is 1.16 per cent.

Of the deceased, six were males and the remaining one was a female patient.

The Directorate General of Health Services came up with the latest statistics on its daily Covid press release.

A total of 17,135 samples have been tested during the reporting period across the country at 836 laboratories while Bangladesh had tested 1,07,23,797 as of November 21.

In the past 24 hours, 192 patients recovered from the viral disease totaling the recovery to 15,38,198.

In case of the divisions, five died in Dhaka division and one each died in Chattogram and Khulna divisions.
