At least 418 people were killed and 497 others were injured in 383 road accidents across Bangladesh in December 2021, said a report published by the Road Safety Foundation on Saturday.
In December, at least 52 others were killed and 34 others were injured while at least eight remained missing in four waterway accidents, the report said.
It said that at least 22 other people were killed and nine more were injured in 13 railways accidents in the month.
The report was prepared on the basis of news coverage of accidents published in seven national daily newspapers, five online news portals and television channels, said a press release of the organisation on Saturday.
