Fire breaks out at Covid isolation centre in Rohingya camp

A fire broke out at a Rohingya camp in Balukhali in Bangladesh's southeastern district of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday evening.

No casualty was reported immediately, fire service officials said.

Seven fire fighting units rushed to the spot and the fire was under control, said Cox’s Bazar Fire Service and Civil Defence deputy assistant director Muhammad Abdullah.

Reasons of the fire could not be known immediately, he said.

The fire broke out at a Covid isolation centre in the camp, the fire service official said.
