Bangladesh reports four more Covid deaths, 674 cases

Covid-19 claimed the lives of four more patients and infected 674 others in Bangladesh in 24 hours ending Monday morning.

With the latest statistics, the total death toll hits 28,081 and infections to 15,87,140 since the country had recorded the first Covid infection on March 8, 2020, and death from the viral disease on March 18, 2020.

The daily test positivity rate is 3.37 per cent.

One of the deceased was a male and the remaining three were female patients.

Two of the deaths were reported from Dhaka division and one each death was reported from Khulna and Rajshahi divisions.

The Directorate General of Health Services came up with the latest statistics on its daily Covid press release.

A total of 19,980 samples have been tested during the reporting period across the country at 852 laboratories while Bangladesh had tested 1,15,45,812 samples as of January 3.

In the past 24 hours, 214 patients recovered from the viral disease totalling the recovery to 15,49,771.
