‘Unvaccinated school students won’t be allowed to attend in-person classes’

Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam today reiterated that without two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, people will not be allowed at restaurants, shopping malls, buses, launches or planes, and that an order in this regard will be issued within a day or two.

He said, "We'll take a decision after consulting with the technical committee."

He further said, "Students who have not received vaccines will not be permitted to attend in-person classes at school."

The Cabinet Secretary, however, did not elaborate on how it will be implemented as a large number of students remain unvaccinated.

He briefed journalists after today's Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the meeting virtually from Gono Bhaban.
