3 fish traders die as train hits human hauler in Chapainawabganj

Three fish traders died when a train hit a human hauler in Chapainawabganj town this morning.

The deceased were identified as Fulchan (55), Seher Ali (44), and Naimul Islam (35), reports our Chapainawabganj correspondent.

Quoting eyewitnesses, Deputy Assistant Director of Chapainawabganj Fire Service Saber Ali said that they were returning home by the human hauler locally known as Bhotbhoti after selling fish at New Market.

Around 8:40am, a, Iswhardi-bound local train hit the vehicles in Alinagar rail crossing area, leaving the three passengers dead on the spot.

On information, local firefighters reached to the spot and recovered the bodies around 9:30am. The bodies were later handed over to the Railway police, he added.

He further said that it was an unprotected level crossing and there were no guards.
