A motorcyclist died after being hit by a truck in the city’s Rampura area Friday morning.
The deceased is Abu Naser, 38, son of Abu Taher of Eidgah Amin Bazar village under Sonaimuri police station in Noakhali district. He worked as a manager at a hotel in Chattogram.
Rampura police sub-inspector Shahriar said that Naser was heading to his workplace when an oil truck hit him from behind in front of Farazy Hospital in Rampura leaving him badly injured.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition where on-duty doctor declared him dead at about 8:45am, he added.
The truck has been seized while its driver and assistant has been taken into custody, the SI added.
