Not enforced disappearance, rather self-hiding: Kamal

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today claimed that the law enforcement agencies are not involved in any incidents of enforced disappearance.

"Whenever anyone goes missing, they returns after some days. The person may be go into hiding for different reasons," the minister said after visiting Saraswati Puja at Rajdhani High School in the city.

"These incidents are branded as incidents of enforced disappearance," he added.

"We have not yet received information about a couple of self-hiding incidents. We think we can bring them to the fore soon," he added.

Replying to a query, the minister said the foreign minister during a parliament session told elaborately on the issue of the appointment of lobbyists and they are investigating out how the money has been sent abroad.

"We think those who sent the money are a part of the conspiracy," he said adding that their identities will be revealed soon.
