Amidst much criticism, the Dhaka University deans' committee has recommended to hold honours entry test for 'Gha' or 'D Unit' -- under the social science faculty -- only for 2021-2022 academic year.
The recommendation came at a meeting today with DU Vice-Chancellor Prof M Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
Prof Zia Rahman, dean of Social Science faculty, confirmed the development to The Daily Star over phone.
The DU authorities on February 7 decided not to hold any first-year honours admission test for 'Gha' unit to reduce the burden of entrance exams on the students.
