Four criminals reportedly raped a 15-year-old after confining her for four days, according to sources.
According to the victim her neighbour Shuvo used to make advances on her.
"As I denied complying with his proposal, Shuvo and Al Amin picked me up on February 12 morning when I went out to take tuitions. I was taken an unknown place where they with two others drugged and raped me in phases for four days," she said.
The criminals threw the victim off from a private car at the TSC area of Dhaka University today and fled the scene, said Inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost.
Later, a woman rescued her and took her to the DMCH, he added.
Mowdud Hawlader, officer-in-charge of Shahbag Police Station said the girl is sick and is currently admitted to DMCH.
"She needs treatment," he said, adding that further details could be known once the victim feels well both physically and mentally.
Police are working in this regard, he informed.
MM Morshed, officer-in-charge of Lalbagh Police Station said they were aware of the incident and investigating it.
Jashim Uddin Mollah, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Lalbagh division), said they heard that the girl was missing since February.
