A group of officers and employees of the Anti-Corruption Commission on Thursday formed a human chain in front of the ACC headquarters protesting at termination of one of their colleagues and demanding cancellation of a provision that allowed instant action.
They continued their programme for about five minutes.
The commission sacked its deputy assistant director Sharif Uddin on Wednesday.
Later, at a press conference, ACC secretary M Mahbubur Rahman said that the commission took action against the officer based on specific laws and allegations.
He, however, did not disclose the reason of dismissing the officer.
