The health authorities in Bangladesh recorded eight deaths from Covid-19 and 732 new infections in the 24 hours to 8am on Wednesday.
The latest additions took the country's death toll to 29,053 and the total caseload to 1,945,108.
As many as 22,716 samples were tested in the 24-hour period, yielding an infection rate of 3.22%, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
