Three people were stabbed to death in an attack allegedly over making comment on a Facebook post at Dakkhingaon of Kapasia upazila in Gazipur on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as Faruk Hossain, 25, son of Md Alam, Robin, 15, son of late Hiron, and and Naim, 15, all residents of the upazila.
Two more people were injured in the incident. They were undergoing treatment at Kapasia Upazila Health Complex.
Local people said that some youths attacked on five people on Saturday night over a facebook post and stabbed them with sharp weapon.
Two of the injured died at the upazila health complex while the rest one died on his way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
They also said that the held six attackers from the spot and handed them over to the police.
SM Nasim, officer-in-charge of Kapasia police station, said that the police visited the spot and arrested two people in this connection.
