No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours (till 8am today), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). This is the first day this year with no Covid-19 death.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains 29,112 and the death rate is 1.49 percent.
At least 217 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in 24 hours till 8am today.
Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,49,942, added the release.
The current positivity rate is 1.54 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.27 percent, said the release.
A total of 14,049 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.
At least 1,600 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,64,408 and the recovery rate at 95.61 percent, added the release.
