A fire broke out at the capital's Kalyanpur slum on Sunday.
The blaze started around 8:50 pm at the number 9 slum near Notun Bazar, said Md Shahjahan Shikdar, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
On information, 10 fire fighting units rushed to the spot to tame the blaze.
Four more tenders are on the way to join the extinguishing operation, he added.
