A woman and her two children died when a falling tree hit their home during a nor’wester storm in Sunamganj on Thursday.
The incident was reported from a village in Jagannathpur upazila of the northeastern district, say police.
Mahima Akhter,35, her son Mohammad Hossain and daughter Moushumi Begum were killed when the storm lashed early on Thursday.
The woman’s husband is being treated at the local state-run hospital with injuries sustained during the incident, said OC Shashank Paul of Jagannathpur police.
