Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday said that the upcoming national budget would be placed in parliament on June 9.
He also said that they had already discussed the size of the budget while responding to a question whether income tax threshold to be increased.
Details of the budget were yet to be fixed, he said while talking to reporters after a meeting of the cabinet committee on government purchases virtually.
He said there would be measures in the budget for reducing problems faced by the people in wake of price hike of essentials.
The finance minister is likely to announce a budget of Tk 6,79,350 crore or 15.38 per cent of the projected GDP of Tk 44.12 lakh core for FY23, said officials.
