Members of Rapid Action Battalion have arrested one person in connection with the death of two people during the clashes between Dhaka College students and New Market traders.
They also arrested two persons on charges of starting the clashes, according to a text message floated to media from Rab.
The arrestees were held from Shariatpur and Cox's Bazar areas, the message added.
Further information will be revealed during a press conference later in the day.
