A college student brought an allegation of rape against an officer of Police Bureau of Investigation in Khulna on Sunday.
The accused is inspector Monjurul Ahsan Masud.
Khulna sadar police station officer-in-charge Hasan Al Mamun said that the 20-year-old victim came to Masud five days ago to file a report regarding mobile phone or photos on Facebook.
In the name of helping her, Masud took the victim to a house at Chhota Mirzapur in Khulna city where the police officer raped her.
The officer-in-charge said that a police team raided the house on Sunday afternoon following a complaint by the college student.
He said that the allegation was found true initially.
The OC said that they sent the college student to Khulna Medical College Hospital for medical tests.
