A fire broke out at Shahjibazar 330 MW power plant in Habiganj on Sunday morning.
Shayestaganj Police Station officer-in-charge Ajay Chandra Dev said that the fire broke out at about 9:30am on Sunday.
He, however, said that the cause of the fire and the details of the damage could not be known immediately.
Four units of the fire service are working to control the fire, he said at about 11:15am.
Madhabpur Police Station OC Abdur Razzak said that workers of Habiganj, Shayestaganj, Madhabpur and Chunarughat fire service stations were working to douse the fire.
OC Abdur Razzak could not immediately say how the fire was originated.
No casualty was reported.
