The bodies of three people who went missing in a boat capsize incident at Itna Haor in Kishoreganj have been recovered.
Police and the diving team of the Fire Service and Civil Defence found the body in the wreckage of the capsized boat on Tuesday at 9:30am.
The deceased are Md Masud, 25, Siraj Uddin, 60, Md Wasim, 35.
According to locals, five people left Damiha union in Tarail upazila on Monday in an engine-driven boat carrying goods to Dhanpur Sahila village in Itna upazila.
At around 1pm, the boat sank in the middle of a storm Itna Haor.
At that time, two people got into a fishing boat. The rest went missing along with the boat.
Itna police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Islam Mollah said the bodies were found inside the boat. At the request of the family, the bodies are being handed over without an autopsy.
