Three people were injured when a truck carrying 136 sacks of onion hit the fencing on the viaduct road of Padma Bridge this afternoon (June 27, 2022).
The accident happened when the truck driver lost control over the wheels following brake failure near Mawa toll plaza around 5:30pm, our Munshiganj correspondent reports.
The injured were taken to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex in Munshiganj.
The truck was coming from Shariatpur's Jazira and heading towards Dhaka's Shyampur through Padma Bridge.
Meanwhile, a patrol team of security forces seized another truck as it hit their vehicle while they were on the spot rescuing the injured.
