Seven people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is currently 29,181 and the death rate stands at 1.47 percent.
At least 1,998 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during this period.
The current positivity rate is 16.74 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent.
Meanwhile, with the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,82,972, added the release.
A total of 11,932 samples were tested across the country during this period.
At least 494 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,09,273 and the recovery rate at 96.28 percent, said the release.
All the deceased were men. Of them, two were 51-60 year old, two were 61-70, one was 71-80, and two were 81-90, added the release.
