Bogra, Dec 7 (Just News) : Police have detained four people including an alleged military unit chief of banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh in Bogra district.
According to the police, the Neo-JMB men were detained during a joint raid in Mokamtala area of Shibganj upazila of the district early Thursday.
The detainees are Neo-JMB military unit chief for northern part of the country Babul Aktar alias Babul Master, shura council member Delowar Hossain alias Mistri Mizan and other two members - Alamgir alias Arif and Afzal alias Limon.
Police claimed that a pistol, 15 rounds of bullets, magazine and a machete and four Burmese daggers were recovered from their possessions.
Additional superintendent of Bogra police Sanatan Chakrabharti said Babul Aktar is a military chief of Neo-JMB’s northern unit. Babul is leading the northern unit of the Neo-JMB after Jahangir Alam alias Rajib Gandhi, one of the masterminds of Holey Artisan attack in Dhaka.
