A youth drowned to death while bathing in Nikli haor in Kishoreganj this morning (July 22, 2022).
Locals and fire fighters rescued two others from the haor in Kursha area around 9:00am, our Mymensingh correspondent reports.
The deceased was identified as Akash (26), of Dhaka, and the rescued are – Tuhin (25), of Kishoreganj, and Hasib (26), of Patuakhali.
Confirming the incident, Kishoreganj Fire Service Station Officer Md Abuzar Ghifari said Akash, Tuhin and Hasib were friends.
Tuhin and Hasiba are now undergoing treatment at Nikli Upazila Health Complex, he said.
