The government today (July 27, 2022) announced the country's total population following the publication of data collection under the "Population and Housing Census 2022" project.
For the first time, the population census has found that there are more women than men in Bangladesh.
It found that the country has a population of 165,158,616. Of which, number of males is 81,712,824, number of females is 83,347,206, and number of hijras is 12,629.
