A total of 65 dengue patients were hospitalised in 24 hours till Friday morning amid a rise in the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh, the the Directorate General of Health Services said.

Among them, 48 patients were hospitalised in Dhaka, it said.

As many as 336 dengue patients, including 254 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

Among the deaths, five were reported from Cox’s Bazar while three from Dhaka.
