The foreign minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, on Wednesday made a brief stopover at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on his way to Cambodia to attend the 29th ministerial meeting of ASEAN Regional Forum scheduled for August 4–6, officials said.

Bilawal was received by information and broadcasting minister Hasan Mahmud, who was on a visit to the port city, during his stopover in Chattogram at about 5:15pm for refueling of the aircraft, said airport officials.

On the occasion, the two ministers exchanged gifts of books as Bilawal stayed at the Chattogram airport for about 40 minutes, said a press release of the High Commission of Pakistan in Dhaka.

Bilwal conveyed his compliments and message of goodwill for Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and the people of Bangladesh. Momen is also attending the ARF in Cambodia.

"While flying over Bangladesh, I wish to convey my personal best wishes for Your Excellency's good health and happiness and for ever increasing progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Bangladesh," the Pakistan foreign minister said.
