Siblings among 3 dead in Saudi Arabia road accident

Three Bangladeshis, including two siblings, have died in a private car accident in Saudi Arabia. They are residents of Manoharganj upazila of Cumilla.

The deceased have been identified as Md Farukh Khan (23) and Md Parvez (21), son of Abul Kashen of Mirzapur village, and Md Saddam (21) of Narharipur village in the upazila.

The accident took place at 5:10 pm (Bangladesh time) yesterday (August 25, 2022) in Al-Qassim of Saudi Arabia.

Faruk went to Saudi Arabia three years ago and Parvez went to Saudi six months ago. They worked in an aluminum factory in Taif, Saudi Arabia, the cousin added.

The private car, via which Farukh and Parvez were going to their workplace in Taif from Al Qassim, lost control and fell into a ditch. Three of the five people in the private car died and two others have been admitted to a hospital with serious injuries.

Chairman of Jholom Dakkhin union parishad Md Ashikur Hiran said, "Saddam also went to Saudi Arabia three years ago."

Debabrata Ghosh, assistant director of the Department of Manpower Export in Cumilla, said, "All kinds of assistance will be provided to the families of the deceased to bring the bodies home."
