A Bangladeshi teenager was shot to death by the Indian Border Security Force along Dainur border in northern Dinajpur district headquarters on Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.
The victim, Minhajul Islam Milon, 17, was a Class IX student of Khanpur High School, and son of Jahangir Hossain of village Khanpur (Bhitarpara) of Dinajpur Sadar upazila.
Dinajpur Kotwali police officer-in-charge Tanvirul Islam said that the shooting took place near Oscerpur border at about 11:00pm on Wednesday.
The body was in the custody of the BSF, he added.
According to a report of the United News of Bangladesh, Border Guard Bangladesh and India’s Border Security Force are expected to hold a flag meeting on Thursday (September 8, 2022) over the incidend.
