Unidentified assailants hacked two Rohingya leaders to death at a place between two Rohingya camps under Ukhia upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday evening.
Mohammad Yunus, 37, died on the spot while Mohammad Anwar, who sustained critical knife injuries, died later.
The incident took place at a place between Balukhali camp number 18 and 19 at about 6:45pm.
Armed Police Battalion unit -8 assistant police superintendent Md Faruk Ahmed said that the assailants carried out the knife attack and left the place.
He said that police were deployed in the area in search of the criminals.
