BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with central leaders have reached Faridpur on Friday to attend the divisional meeting on Saturday.
BNP Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid confirmed the matter.
Shama Obaid said that the secretary general arrived in Komorpur Abdul Aziz Institution ground, located 6kms from Faridpur city, around 6:30pm on Friday. At this time, he got on the stage and encouraged the activists by waving his hand.
She also said that the central leaders along with the secretary general came to the ground directly from Dhaka. At that time, Mirza Fakhrul also visited the rally ground.
Central Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, BNP Vice Chairman AZM Zahid Hossain, two co-organizing secretaries of BNP Mashukur Rahman and Md Selimuzzaman, among other leaders, were also present at that time.
