Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) finds the escape of two convicted militants from the court premises and yet to arrest them as a failure.
M Khurshid Hossain, director general of Rab, said all efforts are going on to arrest the escaped militants.
He came up with the remarks after visiting the Suhrawardy Udyan venue today where the ruling Awami League's national council will be held tomorrow.
"We believe in self-criticism. Two militants escaped. It is our failure. The militants planned it for a long time and then escaped. We are yet to arrest them but our drive is going on," he told journalists.
Replying to another query, he said, "Militants are still active but we are active too... We think they (militants) will not get a chance to do anything."
