Three motorcyclists were killed in two road accidents in Tangail on Friday morning.
The first accident was occurred at about 9:00am on Friday at Patharpur area under Sakhipur upazila in Tangail.
The deceased were identified as Md Masud, 25, son of Wahed Ali of village Isapur of Sakhipur upazila, and Sakib, 20, son of Abdus Salam of the same area.
Sakhipur police sub-inspector Md Maniruzzaman said that accident took place when a truck hit a motorcycle them from behind at Patharpur on Sakhipur-Batazore road, leaving two dead on the spot.
The bodies were handed over to the families after completion of all the formalities.
The second accident took place at Analiabari of Kalihati upazila on Dhaka-tangail-Bangabandu Bidge Highway at about 9:30am.
The identity of the decease could not be known immediately.
Bangbandhu Setu East Police Station sub-inspector Shariful Islam said that the accident took place when a Dhaka-bound bus hit a Bangabandhu Setu East-bound motorcycle, leaving the motorcyclist dead on the spot.
The body has kept at the police station.
