DCI Founder Ehsan Hoque has been honored with NRB Excellence award

Dr. Ehsan Hoque, the founder of DCI, was recently awarded the NRB Excellence Award 2022 at the NRB Professionals' Summit-2022, held at the Sheraton Dhaka on December 22nd.

NRB World hosted the event.This prestigious recognition was presented to him in recognition of his lifelong dedication and commitment to providing quality education, health care, and vision care to underprivileged people in Bangladesh and around the world. The award was presented to Dr. Hoque by the honorable minister Imran Ahmad MP, Ministry of Expatriates Welfare.

The event was attended by many non-residential Bangladeshis, business pioneers, and the top brass of Bangladesh government officials. All the delegates were impressed by Dr. Hoque's remarkable work, selfless dedication, and passion for helping the underprivileged and humanity.

In the award acceptance speech, Dr. Ehsan Hoque said, "I am truly humbled and proud to receive this honor and deeply appreciate NRBs' preface in the country's development. This recognition will give us the power and inspiration to continue our challenging mission to make even more tremendous strides. I will continue my mission to ensure all the children's fundamental rights. DCI is grateful to the donors, sponsors, volunteers, and leaders who have supported our mission over the years and made DCI's work in Bangladesh possible. I dedicated this award to all the children we work with and to DCI's donors and volunteers. " 

In 2003, Dr. Ehsan Hoque founded Distressed Children & Infants International (DCI) at Yale University, United States to fight poverty, hunger, child labor, and preventable blindness. The organization is dedicated to promoting child rights, preventing child marriage, preventing blindness, and improving the health and welfare of underprivileged children and their families. To this date, it has touched the lives of close to 100,000 children in the most backward regions of Bangladesh.
