Robbers attack Ansar camp in Narsingdi, snatch guns, bullets

A gang of robbers attacked two Bangladesh Ansar members outside a camp, and looted two firearms along with 10 bullets in Narsingdi early on Tuesday.

The incident took place in front of Borobazar area's Bangladesh Ansar camp.

Narsingdi district Commandant Tanzina Binte Ershad of Bangladesh Ansar said that four Ansar members were patrolling in front of the camp at around 2:30am.

At that time a group of 10-12 robbers, armed with weapons, attacked them from behind, she said.

Two of the Ansar members managed to run away from the spot, but the robbers tied the other two with ropes. They later snatched two shotguns and 10 bullets from them, she added.

The official later said they are talking about the matter with higher authorities.
