Mirza Fakhrul admitted to hospital

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been admitted to a hospital in Dhaka as he fell sick suddenly.

Speaking to BNP media cell member said, “He (Mirza Fakhrul) came to the office of the BNP chairperson in the morning (Monday). He suddenly he felt acute breathing problems at around 11:00 am. He was taken to United Hospital in Gulshan.”

Sayrul Kabir Khan also said specialist physician professor Momenuzzaman has been treating Mirza Fakhrul at the hospital.

Mirza Fakhrul returned home on Thursday after taking treatment in Singapore for a week. The BNP leader and his wife Rahat Ara Begum left the country on 9 February. Both have been suffering from various health complications.
