A fire broke out at Karail slum in Dhaka's Mohakhali area this afternoon.
Nine firefighting units have been deployed to douse the blaze that originated around 4:30pm, said Khaleda Yasmin, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
