Three students were killed as an unidentified bus hit their motorcycle on Hatikumrul-Banpara highway at Mannannagar under Tarash upazila in Sirajganj on early Monday.
The deceased are Alamgir Hossain, 22, a student of Nawab Siraj-Ud-Dowla Government College in Natore, Sujon Hossain, 21, a student of Natore City College, and Secondary School Certificate examinee Siam Ahmed, 20.
Hatikumrul Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Badrul Kabir said that the three students met the fatal accident while heading toward Natore from Sirajganj.
At about 6:30am, he said, an unidentified bus hit their motorcucle at Mannan Nagar and left them dead on the spot.
He said that police were trying to identify the bus and added that their bodies were taken to his police station.
The police officer said that the victims’ family members came to police station to receive the bodies.
The bodies would be handed over to the family members after completing legal process, the OC said.
