Sixteen of the deceased victims of the Gulistan blast today have been identified.

Mominul Islam, 38, was of Islampur. He was a repairman and used to install CCTV systems. His wife Nodi Begum, 35, a homemaker, also died in the blast.

Mominul's uncle Zoynul Abedin identified their bodies at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Zoynul said the couple went to the area to buy some sanitaryware for their house.

Md Sumon, 22, of Suritotal, was a Qatar expatriate. He had gone to the area to buy Iftar for his mother. His mother Taju Begum identified his body at the DMCH.

Mainuddin Akonda, 48, of Chittagong Road area, was a manager of Azad sanitaryware. His son Mahmudul Hasan identified him.

Md Ismail, 42, of Alu Bazar area, was the owner of a sanitaryware shop. His nephew Tawhid identified his body at the DMCH.

Parvin, 32, daughter of Hedayet Ullah from Kachua of Chandpur; Ishaq Mridha, 35, son of Dulal Mridha, of Charsantospur of Kazirhat of Barisal; Rahat, 18, son of Jahangir Alam of Masterbari of Keraniganj Dhaka; Al Amin, 23, son of Billal Hossain of Pashim Lalpur of Chandpur's Matlab; Nazmul Hossain, 25, son of Yunus Hossain of the capital's Bangshal; Obaidul Hasan Babul, 55, son of Sheikh Saheb Ali of Manikganj; and Abu Zafar Siddique 34, son of Mozammel Haque of Munshiganj's Gazaria were among the dead.

Besides, Monsur Hossain, 40; Akriti Begum, 70; Idris Mir, 60; Hridoy, 20; and Nurul Islam Bhuiyan, 55 are also among the deceased but further details of their identity could not be known.
