Medical admission test results published

The results of the admission test for first-year of MBBS 2023-24 academic year in government and private medical colleges of the country has been published on Sunday.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque officially announced the result at a function organized at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at Mohakhali in the capital in the afternoon.

This year, 1,35,800 candidates participated in the examination. The pass rate is 35.34%.

A total of 4,350 students have been selected for the government medical college through 1 hour 100 marks MCQ exam and 200 marks from the marks obtained in SSC and HSC exams in 57 venues of 18 government medical colleges and one dental college on Friday from 10am to 11am.

The health minister said that 1,39,217 students applied to participate in the medical admission test this year. From them, 1,35,800 participated in the exam. Among them, 57,436 candidates took the exam in 18 venues of five centres in Dhaka city.

The number of students who have passed this year is 49,194 and the pass rate is 35.34%. Rafsan Zaman, who appeared in the Chittagong Medical College examination, became the first in the merit list. He got maximum 94.25 in written examination.

For admission to government medical colleges, candidates have been selected on the basis of 80% national merit and 20% district quota in the remaining seats except for the quota seats for freedom fighters and minorities.

Candidates can then check their results in three ways: the DGHS website, the Directorate General of Medical Education website and also through SMS. A candidate's result will be sent to the mobile phone number given at the time of application.
