A fire broke out at a slum in Tejkunipara of Tejgaon area in Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Monday evening.
Shahjahan Shikder, an official of media cell at Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters in Dhaka, said that the fire broke out at about 8:00pm at a room in the slum.
He said that 11 firefighting units rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
No causality was so far reported.
The total damages and reason of the fire could not be known immediately, said the fire service official.
