The holy month of Ramadan will begin on Friday in Bangladesh as the new crescent moon was not sighted in the country’s sky on Wednesday evening.
The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision at a meeting at the Baitul Mukarram office of the Islamic Foundation.
State minister for religious affairs Faridul Haque Khan presided over the meeting, the Islamic Foundation said in a press release on Wednesday evening.
