More rain in forecast across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places across Bangladesh within 24 hours from Friday morning.

Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places in Rangpur division with hails in some places, said a met office bulletin.

Day temperature may fall by 1-2° Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded on Thursday at 35.4° Celsius in Rajshahi and the lowest on Friday was 18° Celsius in Nikli.

The most rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded at 64 millimetres in Tangail.

The sun sets at 6:14pm on Friday and rises at 5.51am on Saturday in Dhaka.
