Jatiyatabadi Swecchasebak Dal central vice-president and Dhaka City South president AA Zahir Uddin Tuhin was arrested by police on Thursday.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has strongly condemned and protested the arrest of Zahir Uddin Tuhin.
In a statement on Friday, Mirza Fakhrul said the illegal Awami League government has resorted to arresting the leaders and workers of BNP and its associate bodies inhumanely ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr after the observance of month-long Ramadan. The subjugated police force of the fascist government become very happy when the families of the arrested leaders and workers go through the pain due to absence of there near and dear one during the Eid festival. The midnight unelected government has transformed the entire country into a jail by arresting, abducting and forced disappearances of the opposition leaders and workers.
The BNP leader said the incidents of arrest have become widepsread in recent months. Such misdeeds have become the ongoing process of the government. The arrest of Swecchasebak Dal central vice-president and Dhaka City South president AA Zahir Uddin Tuhin was a part of that process.
Protesting the arrest of Zahir Uddin Tuhin ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, Mirza Fakhrul demanded his unconditional release as soon as possible withdrawing the false case filed against him.
